PARKER DEFEATS McEWAN. [per press association.] TIMARU, October 27. In the professional boxing contest tonight, Vince Parker (Timaru) knocked out George McEwan (Invercargill) in the twelfth round. McEwan is the holder of the middle-weight title, but this was not at stake. From tho second round onwards, Parker was clearly superior, and in the middle stages of the bout he administered severe punishment, only the condition and gameness of McEwan enabling him to carry on. for so long.
