FIRE AT GOULBURN SYDNEY, October 17.
A disastrous fire, at Goulburn, has caused damage estimated at £lO,OOO in what is known as the Regent Shopping Block. Several shops and their contents were destroyed.
ULM ROBBED SYDNEY, October 17.
The aviator, Charles Ulm, reports that his house has been robbed, and 'that among the treasures stolen is the gold cigarette case presented him by the Marlborough (N.Z.) Aero Club after his flight to New Zealand with Sir C. Kingsford Smith.
LOTTERY PROFITS. SYDNEY, October 18.
At the drawing of the 83rd State lottery, the Director (Mr Whiddon) stated the profit from the lotteries for twelve months ended August 20, was £803,000, all of which would be available for distribution among the hospitals.
SHIPPING SERVICES CANBERRA, October 18.

UNEMPLOYMENT DECREASING. SYDNEY, October 18. The figures made available by th© Government and Citizens’ Unemployment Relief Committee, give a heartening assurance that unemployment is decreasing.. Since the Government assumed office, the number of unemployed on the Labour Exchange, books decreased by thirty thousand, and the Citizens’ Committee figures, show that since July, . 3021 persons were absorbed in industries. ,
