ENGLISH LEAGUE RESULTS.

(Received August 30, 10.30 a.m.) LONDON, August 29. Soccer results tb-day were:— 1 First Division. —Aston Villa v.‘ Sunderland 1-0; Blackpool v. Leeds 2-1; Huddersfield v. Leicester 4-1; Sheffield United v. Liverpool 6-2; Wolverhampton v. Bolton 4-1.

<■ Second Division. —Bury v. Notts County 3-1; Mahchbster United V. Charlton 1-0; Lincoln v. Swansea 2-0; Notts, Forest v. Spurs 3-1; Southampton y. Port Vale 2-2; Millwall v. Stoke 2-1; Bradford City v. West Ham 4-2.

Third Division. —Southern: Cardiff V. Bournemouth 3-0; Clapton Orient V. Luton 0-0; Brentford v. Coventry 3-2; Northampton v. Exeter 5-3; Southend v. Bristol Rovers 2-2. Northern: Accrington v. Rotherham 5-1; Barnsley v. Tranmerc 2-1; Barrow v. Rochdale 1-1; poncaster v. Walsall 3-2; Hull v. Wrexham 4-1. •

HIGH SCHOOL TOURNAMENT The Otago High School soccer teams arrived in Greymouth last evening and were accompanied by Mr. and. Mrs G. Mclnnes. The boys have been billeted locally and will play matches against Greymouth combined Secondary School teams on Wednesday afternoon. at Victoria Park. Included in the High School team is G. Suther-

land who does not play for the School but for the Old Boys’ senior’ eleven, and who last year represented Otago in an English trophy match against Canterbury. This afternoon the boys visited Coal Creek Falls. To-night they will be the guests of the Greymouth Orchestral Society. The Coast teams will be:—

Juniors (1.30 p.m.) :—Campbell; Skdats, Pike; Heaphy, Dargan, J. Roberts; Ewan, Kerr, Morel (capt.). Jackson, Paton. Emergencies: Backs, Heaphy, Perrin; forwards, Hassan, East. Seniors (3 p.m.) :—Lee; Marshall (capt.), Sinclair, Baddeley, Armstrong, Clark; O’Connell, Sharp, Pollock, Vaughan, Pattinson. Emergency: Crase.

The Otago teams will be selected :rom the following: —

Juniors:—Craven; Gregory, Ruddiman; Ruston, Romaril, Sharp; McKenzie, Hooper, Mclvor, Nelson, McDermott, Kidd, Morrison.

Seniors:—Race; Sutherland, Roberts; -Greenwood, Williamson, McLellan; McNarcy, Paul, Nelson, Fyfe, Hannah, Murdoch.
