Margaret Rpvoir (Philadelphia) ior the third successive year won the Canadian National Exhibition women’s ten mile swim, in shrs 22min. 18sec. Evelyn Armstrong (Detroit) was second and' May Looney, of Warren (Ohio) was third. Twenty-nine girls started. Miss Lily Coppiestone, of Christchurch, was taken from ‘he water after nearly four hours. WRESTLING. In a professional wrestling contest at the Theatre Royal, Westport, on Saturday night, George Wilson was awarded the decision over Harry 'Demetral on a foul, after the latter had deliberately thrown his opponent over the ropes, into the audience. Each then had a fall to his credit. In the preliminary bouts, Hatton (Westport) beat Wilkie (Nelson); Smith (Westport) beat Brasington (Nelson), and Hardie (Westport) beat Jost (Westport).
