DAVIS CUP FINAL
THE SINGLES DRAW.
[BY CABLE —PRESS ASSN.'—COPYRIGHT.]
(Received July 29, 10 a.m.) PARIS, July 28. The Davis Cup draw is: — Friday: Borotra versus Vines. Cochet versus Allison.
Sunday: Borotra versus Allison. Cochet versus Vines.
\ It is considered that the luck of the draw favoured America. The French would have liked Cochet to meet Vines on Friday, when he would be at his fittest.
As Borotra is playing in both singles, the doubles team is likely to be Cochet and Brugnon. Cochet, therefore, faces Vines in three successive days’ play, whereas Vines rests on Saturday.
The American doubles pair are expected to be Allison and Van Ryn.
ENGLAND V. AUSTRALIA.
LONDON, July 28
In the England v. Australia match at Scarborough, Perry beat Hopman 6/3, 6/2, 10/8; Lee beat Crawford 4/6, 6/3, 2/6, 6/2, 8/6.
