ST LISTER BEATEN Harry Lister (11.8), the West Coast middleweight, was defeated by Jim Richardson, of Victoria on a technical knock-out in the eighth of a scheduled 15-round bout, at the Unity Stadium, Perth (W.A.), on June 24. GOLF. OTTAWA, July 7. The opening round of the Canadian Open Golf Championship resulted in Cooper being first with 69. Hagen tied with Von Elm foi- second with 70. Perkins and Kirkwood were well behind with 76 and 77 respectively.
