[to the editor.] Sir, —Kindly give me space to state that I was a spectator at last Sunday's football match, West Coast v. Canterbury, and as I was proceeding home, after the game, my car was stopped by a West Coast player, who asked me if I would give him a lift home. I had to take the burden on myself, although it was not very convenient to do so. I asked the player what was the reason ho was walking home, and he replied that the manager must have been thinking about other things, and not looking after the team as a manager should. I would like to know if the manager walked home. I am, etc. “LEAGUE SUPPORTER.’”
