MOTORIST KILLED

COLLISION WITH LORRY. [PER press association.] PALMERSTON NORTH, July 7. Fatal results attended a collision between a four-ton lorry and a Baby Austin, which occurred to-night on the main highway near Tiakitahuna. The driver of the small car, J. R. Forrest, of Palmerston North, was killed’instantaneously. Forrest was accompanied by lus wife. Apparently he did not give the lorry sufficient clearance, the windscreen upright being caught by the overhanging floor of. the truck. The impact sent the small car spinning. Fmallv, it came to rest on its side, the driver lying partly out on the bitumen. The lorry. was only scratched. Mrs Forrest suffered severe shock.
