Replying to Parliamentary questions regarding raids from Abyssinia into Sudanese territory, and discussions by British and Abyssinian representatives thereon at Gambeila, the Foreign Secretary (Sir J. Simon) said the Gambeila meeting had produced a satisfactory result. Most categorical orders for a return of captives had been previously issued by the Abyssinian Government.
