Georgo Simpson, the former Ohio University “flash” shattered the Olympic Games record for the 200 metres, run on Saturday in the Allegheny District try-outs . He did 200 metres in 21.2 seconds, clipping four-tenths of a second off the present mark. ANOTHER FAST RUN. VANCOUVER, June 25. Marking his return to form, Percy Williams, on Saturday, won the 100 metres British Columbia Olympic trial race in 10 1-16 seconds. This is twotenths of a second better than his time in winning the event at the Amsterdam Olympiad. NURMI’S NEW RECORD. HELSINGFORS, June 26. Nurmi established a Marathon record, 26 miles 305 yards, in 142mins. 4secs.
