AUCKLAND, April 13.

A remarkable double performance has been made this season by R. Y. Shepherd, of the Birkdale Cricket Club, which plays in the third grade competition of the Auckland Association In all matches, Shepherd has taken 128 wickets- and scored 1101 runs, including four centuries. In competition, matches, he has secured 102 wickets at an average of 6.62 and scored. 664 runs, including two centuries, at an average of . 47.42. Shepherd was coached by A. F. Wensley, the Sussex' professional.
