MISSING COUPLE

MAN FOUND MURDERED SYDNEY MYSTERY DEEPENS * [BY CABLE—PBESS ASSN. —COPYBIGHT.] SYDNEY, April 11. The mysterious disappearance ot Frank Wilkinson, aged 26 years, and Dorothy Denzil, aged 21 years, has been solved. The couple went for a motor drive from the latter’s home at purwood, Sydney, last Tuesday evening, and as they did not return the police set up a search for them. Their car was found at a garage with its engine partly dismantled but it could ;not be ascertained who brought the cai* there. The solution of the mystery was the finding of the dead body of the man, partly buried near the old German Internment Camp at Liverpool, 20 miles south of Sydney. A human hand protruding above the earth led to the discovery of the victim. The crime is likely to prove one of the most sensational in the history of the State. Frank Wilkinson’s parents are wealthy, people. -.The girl Denzil was the winner of a beauty competition. Her body has not been found. The police are still digging and searching, although there is now some doubt as to whether the girl has been murdered. Wilkinson was certainly the victim of foul play. He was shot through the back of the head. The head was also battered. 'The hands were tied behind the back. The body was hurriedly buried in soft, sandy soil, and was partly covered with bushes, but one hand protruded from the grave, and this gave the detectives a clue. Other important information has been received by the police from the garage proprietor, who stated he had dealings with a very excited young man, who drove up in a car similar to Wilkinson’s early in the morning, following on the couple’s disappearance. Wilkinson, who was a compositor, had a large circle of girl and boy friends.
