NON-TAXPAYERS BLACKLISTED. NEW YORK, February 19. Mr. Cerrnak, the Mayor of Chicago, admitted to-day that he had told Illinois legislators to go to hell when they refused financial help to the city. Sunday will be observed by many
Chicago churches as a day of prayer and intercession. Meanwhile Mr. Cerrnak is arranging to relieve the pay roll of 5000 employees. It is proposed that wealthy citizens who have declined’ to pay their taxes shall be picketed and their names placed on a list of ‘‘public enemies’ ’alongside the gangsters.
