WEEK-END MATCHES The opening of the 1932 League Football season will take place on Sunday next, when benefit matches for unemployment relief will be played in several districts, the money to be expended on domain improvement work. These opening games wjll give an indication of the strength of the respective teams.and should command a good attendance. The fixtures are: Blackball v. Ngahere, at Blackball (D. Faris, referee). Runanga v. Brunner at Brunner (Sid Smith, referee). Marist v. Waiuta at Blackwater (G. Harris, referee). Rapahoe v. Runanga, at Dunollie (J. McTaggart, referee). Wingham Park will be available for practice games’for the lower grades, if required. The following will represent Blackball against Ngahere on Sunday next at 2.30: —A. Lamberton, R. Lester, R. Neilson, J. Meikle, O. Kinsella (captain), A. Lester, G. Ware, J. Anderson (2), R. Clark, B. Delaney, S. Lewis; emergencies, J. Kidd, J. Neilson, A. Leitch.
