GREYMOUTH SOCCER CLUB. The third annual meeting of the Greymouth Soccer Club was held yesterday in the Druids’ Hall, Mr J. B. Paton presiding over a fair attendance of members.
The balance-sheet and the President’s annual report, detailing the activities of the Club last season, were read and adopted. The election of ofcers resulted: —Patron: Mr J. Sharp (re-elected); President: Mr J. B. Paton- (re-elected); Vice-Presidents: Messrs A. R. Hamill, R. Storey, J. MacLeod, E. Airey, S. Shannon, E. Mayell, F. Fayley, W. Hamilton; Secretary and Treasurer: Mr C. Restieaux; Committee: Messrs A. Crawford, F. Smyth, F. Bayley, W. Hall, G. MacDonald, C. Howes, President and Secretary. Selection Committee: Messrs J. Paton, A. Crawford and team captain. Delegates to W.F.A., Messrs Restieaux and Hall. Trainer: Mr A. Crawford. New members: Messrs T. Oliss, N. McKnight, W. Wilson, W. Armstrong, J. O’Donnell. It was decided to nominate for the senior, junior and third grade competitions. It was decided to fix subscriptions at 2/6 for senior and junior, and third grade 1/-, the same as last year. It was decided that the first practice should be held on April 2.
TAYLORVILLE SOCCER CLUB. ' The annual meeting of the Taylorville Soccer Club was held on Saturday last. The balance sheet which showed the club to be in a sound posl. tion financially was read and adopted. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr A. E. Pickering for his work during th? past year. ' The election of officers resulted: — President, Mr G. Dixon, Taylorville; Patron; Mr C. Senior, Taylorville; Sfec-Treasurer, Mr A. E. Pickering; Auditors, Messrs J. McNeish and Cowan; Vice-Presidents: Messrs G. Smith, Taylorville, H. McCluskie, Wallsend', Kells, Cobden, J. Rodgers, Taylorville, J. Becker, Wallsend, A. W. Wilkinson, ’Wallsend, Mrs Hawkin. Wallsend.
The new Taylorville Domain will be officially opened in the near future, and it is expected that the opportunities for practice that the ground will afford'will be of great; benefit to the club, who for the past two seasons has had no ground of its own.
