AUCKLAND, March 11. The New Zealand Amateur Athletic Championships commenced in the Domain to-day, in calm, over-warm weather. The track was in fast condition.

Elliott {Auckland) was in great form in the sprints, but his 100yds time cannot be allowed.owing to the very slight following breee.
