OPERA HOUSE TO-NIGHT:
“Feet First,” featuring Harold Lloyd, the prince of comedians, will be screened to-night. SUNDAY NIGHT. “Lovin’ the Ladies” heads the all talkie programme to be presented at. Stthday'Wight’s picture benefit at the Opera House. Proceeds in aid of Mayor's Unemployment Fund. MONDAY AND TUESDAY. Two star features will be presented at the Opera House, Monday and Tuesday, “Queen High” and “The ■Runaway Bride;” two excellent productions. TOWN HALL MONDAY. “Tons of Money” an English comedy, starring Ralph Lynn, and which drew capacity houses at the Opera House this week, will be finally screened at the Town Hall, Monday. Those that have not seen “Tons of Money” would be well advised hot to miss seeing England’s favourite comedian in this riot of comedy. FERNHILL DANCES. At the apove dance next Tuesday, modern dancing will be introduced in addition to the old-time numbers, at the request of a number of patrons. Dancing wKI commence' punctually at eight o’clock. ST. PATRICK’S PICNIC. .As 1932 represents the fifteenth centenary of the landing of St. Patrick in'lreland, the celebrations this year may be said to be of special import ahce; and' it has certainly been the object of' the committee to make then* as appropriate to the occasion as possible. The annual picnic will be held tomorrow, Sunday, at Te Kinga. The train leaves Greymouth at 9.45 a.m. (not 9.30 a.ni., as previously advertised). As this will be about the last pYcnic of the season, advantage will undoubtedly be taken by a large numtier -of people of the opportunity afforded them of spending the day at this favourite resort. Arrangements are being made to have a launch available for any parties wishing to go out on the lake, whilst an enjoyable programme of sports and novelty events has been draWn up, so that, altogether, a good day’s outing is assured. The sports brdgramme will include relay races, tug-b T-war, novelty events and a baby show.
' Hot water, tea, milk and sugar will be provided. The train leaves on return to Greymouth at 5 p.jn. At St. Patrick’s annual concert on Tuesday night a high-class programme will be rendered. Some of the principal vocalists who are assisting are: — Miss. M. O’Grady (Christchurch), Mrs Cogswell, Mr Harold Prescott, Mr W. Toomey (Christchurch), and Mr J Duffy. The grand annual ball will be held in Schaef’s Hall, on Thursday, March 17, 'With modern and old time dances, to excellent music provided by Wil lidmsi;’s Orchestra of six instruments
