LOCAL BODY LOANS. [PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, February 13. Tho response to an invitation to re invest extended to the holders of bonds in the city’s two maturing loans of £360,000 has not been encouraging, largely due to the fact that other bodies are on the local market at 55 cent to the City Council’s 5 pe’’ cent. The council is accordingly applying to the Minister for authority, to pay the higher rate. CANADIAN WHEAT PRICES. 1 WINNIPEG, February 13.
