The storm lasted only for a few minutes, but it left a path of devastation. It caused the utmost consternation. LATER. Further details show that at Murrurundi there were 124 windows in the local school broken by the storm. Motor-car hoods weer torn to shreds, while sheep were partly buried in the hail, and had to be dug out. Poultry were killed and gardens were ruined.
