SMALLER ESTIMATED YIELDS. . [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON, February 11. The average estimate yield of wheat in the Dominion for the 193132 season is 24.44 bushels per acre, compared with 30.44 bushels per acre for the previous season. On this basis the total yield for 1931-1932 should be approximately G,600,000 bushels, compared with an actual yield of 7,579,153 bushels m the 1930-31 season. The average estimated yield of oats for 1931-32 is 32.56 bushels per acre, compared with 38.74 in the previous season. The area from which oats were threshed for the five seasons ending 1930-31 averaged 26.57 per cent total area under crop. Assuming that a similar proportion is threshed this year, the total yield of grain should be approximately 2,850,000 bushels, compared with an actual yield of 3,376,609 bushels in the previous season. The average estimated yield of barley for 1931-32 is 28.79 bushels per acre, compared with 34.97 bushels for tiie previous season. Assuming that the percentage of barley in the area threshed remains the same as that last year, the total yield of grain should be approximately 530,000 bushels, compared with the actual yield of 837,696 bushels last season.
