With stately ceremony the Pope and Signor Mussolini met at Vatican City to-day for t the first time, setting the seal to the restoration of religious peace in Italy. The meeting was climax to years of negotiations on the relations of the Church to the State. The streets were lined with troops and Swiss Guards. Signor Mussolini gave the Fascist salute, and then knelt and kissed the Papal ring. The Pope and the Duce then conversed, -without intermediaries.
