Hail, to-night, passed a resolution welcoming the forthcoming Disarmament Conference, urging the Governments to do all in their power, to bring about a reduction in the military, naval and air forces of the world. The speakers were the Prime .Minister (Mr. Scullin), Mr. Theodore, Mr. Latham and Mr. Bavin. It was announced that a petition was already, signed by. 98,000 persons in favour of disarmament, the objective being a hundred thousand signatories.
