REEFTON, September 11.
Mr J. Lawn, who received injuries o his hand some time ago, has re.urned to work.
Miss M. Downie is on a holiday visit to her mother, Mrs E. Downie. Miss Clara Burley, of Greymouth, is on a visit to Reefton.
Hard frosts still continue in the mornings, and the hopes of gardeners for early crops are waning. All the high country in the district is still snow-covered, and the wind is very keen.
