[OVR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] REEFTON, August 6. The wedding was solemnised on Saturday at St. Andrew’s Church, Ahaura, of Sydney Ramsden of Hukarerp, to Avis, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs W. McEwin, of Hukarere. Rev. G. Barker officiated. The bride was attired in a navy blue costume, and entered the church on the arm of her father. The matron of honour! was Mrs AV. Russell, jnr., and the best man Mr. W. Russell, jur. After the ceremony the party journeyed to Greymouth. On Monday’ evening the friends of the newly married couple were entertained at a social at the hall in Hukarere, some 40 couples being present. Mrs McEwin, the bride’s mother, received the guests. She was attired in blue crepe de chine. Misses 1). Leggoe and M. O’Malley supplied the music, and Mr. Jno. Pfahlert was an efficient M.C. Dancing and games were engaged in. ____________
