Limited, announces a reduction of its interest charges on overdrafts of 1 per cent, as from August 1. WENTWORTH FLOODS SYDNEY, August 6. The levee which was raised to keep back the Murray flood waters, gave way, and a huge wall of water swept across the settlement of Curlwaa into Wentworth. Both the southern and northern ends of Wentworth are nowinundated. Practically the whole town is surrounded by walls of sandbags, and the levees are being constantly patrolled. The hospital is still in great danger. Hundreds of homes are inundated. HOSPITAL IN DIFFICULTIES SYDNEY, August 6. There M'as not sufficient money in hand yesterday to pay the salaries and wages of the staff of the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. The Chairman of the Board of Directors stated the quota from the Government was a thousand pounds short in July. The hospital is steadily falling into arrears, the amount owing to tradesmen, etc., being about fifteen thousand pounds.
