INDIAN TEAM'S VISIT. [PEB PBESB ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 5. The New Zealand Hockey Association has received the following cablegram from the India Hockey Federation: —“The India Hockey Federation agree to Indian Olympic team touring Australia and New Zealand, subject to agreeable terms being arranged regarding travelling and accommodation expenses; the tour to extend for ten weeks on the outward journey and five on the homeward, commencing in either the Dominion or in Australia in April and August respectively.” To-night the New Zealand Association considered, in committee, communications from Australia regarding the terms to be offered the India Federation. BROOKS CUP MATCH In a challenge match, for the Brooks Cup, played at Hokitika yesterday, the home team, which won the Cup at Reefton last week, retained the trophy, defeating the Cronadun ladies by tw’o goals to one. Misses H. Ri'dland and M. Hughes scored for Hokitika, and Miss K. O’Donnell for Cronadun. Mr F. Archer, of Westport, ivas the rereferee.
