MOTHER PROSECUTED. ’• [PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH, August 6. Violet Beatrice Moar, 29, domestic, married, living apart from her husband, was remanded till August 10 on a charge x of abandoning a female child, found under a non-tenanted house on July 29. ‘‘Word has come from the hospital that the child is not well,” said Chief Detective Carroll. “Should it die, and the cause of death be exposure, a more serious charge will probably follow.”
