KNIFE THROWN AT, ’TEC. [PEE PBESS ASSOCIATION.] DUNEDIN, April 27. As a sequel to the arrest of two youths on the roof of Reilly’s Produce Market on Saturday evening, a juvenile appeared in the Children’s Court this morning, and Hazell Mervyn Gaffney, 18 years 5 months, in the Police Court, charged with breaking and entering the shop of Charles Bills on April 5, and stealing goods valued at £5 ss. In asking for a week’s remand, Chief Detective Cameron stated that accused was arrested with younger youths on Reilly’s roof, while attempting to enter the premises of Hayman and Company. Gaffney bolted after capture, and when being recaptured threw a knife at a detective. There would be six charges of shop-breaking. Accused was remanded in custody.
