RUNANGA NOTES
[OUB OWN COBRESPONDENT.] The Blackball Minstrel Troupe gave a performance in the Miners’ Hall on Tuesday evening, to assist the miners’ relief fund. The whole programme proved popular, and each item was well received by the large crowd present. Miss A.. Buick, of Christchurch, who has been here on a holiday visit to Mr and Mrs Wilson, left on her return this morning. . The Runanga Tennis Club held their annual ball in the Miners’ Hall last evening. About 200 dancers were present. Mr G. Kinsey and Miss M. King won the Monte Carlo waltz. The M.C.’s were Mr P. Coll and Mr G. Pope. The music was supplied by Steel’s orchestra; A tennis match /will be played here to-morrow between All Saints Club, Hokitika, and Runanga. The Runanga team will be; Miss Richmond, Miss King, Miss Thompson, Miss Pender, Mrs D. ONeil, Mrs J. O’Neil, Messrs Winstanley, Ennor, Pattinson, Griffiths, Gore, Timlin.
