At the Methodist Conference, the second reading of the report of the Stationing Committee was carried, and the following are the changes from the first reading: Auckland Central (fourth), Rev. H. W. Payne replaces Rev. W. E. Allen Carr, and Rev. Wesley Parker was reappointed to Auckland West, vice Rev. W. L. H. Greenslade; Otahuhu, Rev. W.<j E, Allen Carr replaces Rev. J. Wesley Parker; Hikurangi, Rev. W. H. Hall replaces Rev. T. H. Carr; Taumarunui; Rev. B. R. Haines replaces Rev. A. W. Silvester; Matamata, Rev. A. Blackmore replaces Rev. H. Spencer; Huntly, Rev. C. CHURCH UNION FAVOURED DUNEDIN, February 27. A lengthy discussion on church union took place during the closing hours of the Methodist Conference, this evening, a large number of motions and amendments being placed before the Conference. Ultimately the following motion proposed by the President (Rev. E. D. Patchett) was carried: — ' That this conference regards with hope and sympathy the movement throughout the world towards an organic union of churches, and expresses the readiness to enter into consultation with sister churches in the Dominion, with a ,view to finding a way for immediate co-operation in matters of common' interest, and also to explore the possibilities of utimate union. ■-
