BURIED ALIVE?
MISSING DOCK WORKER. CARDIFF, December 6 . Buried alive under many tons of coal and carried to sea in a Greek steamer bound for Angona, without anyone being aware of his presence, is believed to be the terrible fate of John Edwards (48), a Cardiff dock worker. Edwards was last seen in the hold of the steamship Georgeois M. Livanos, shortly before a cargo of coal was tipped into the hold. Edwards’s mate states that he waited ashore for Edwards, who did not return. The police are endeavouring to get in touch with the steamer.
