WRESTLING

TO-NIGHT’S CONTEST. When Kara Pasha, “The Terrible Turk,” and Alex Lundyn, champion of Finland, meet to-night at the Town Hall, patrons will witness two of the best matmen in contest, which it is possible to match in New Zealand at the present time. Both men are wrestlers of a high grade, and have many victories to their credit, against redoubtable opponents. There is every reason to expect, that after to-night’s contest, wrestling will come into favour on the West Coast. Two preliminary boxing matches have been arranged, and with such amateurs as H. Lister, G. Ellery, Cockburn and McPhee, two excellent contests may confidently be expected. Lundyn is already in Greymouth, and Kara Pasha arrives this evening, from Dunedin.
