Tho pall bearers were returned soldiers, deceased having Lorved in Uio Great War. The Rev C. L. Mountfort (Kumdra) conducted the funeral rites at the Church, and f r i* fj v id e • At the meeting of tho Hokitika Borough Council last night it was finally rseolved to provide street name nlates at the intersection of streets. It was estimated that the cost would be £2O. An offer was made from the Beautifying Society to provide this amount, which was accepted with thanks. The Hokitika Swimming Club aro engaged boring near the bath for a supply of water. The tide is interfering with the old bore. Last night, how’ever, an application for a supply of water from the Borough mains was granted by the Council.
