Nominations for the New South Wales general elections on October 25 closed to-day. There are 27G candidates for the ninety electorates. Only one candidate was elected unopposed. The National Party is contesting 42 seats on the metropolitan area and 23 in the country. Labour is contesting 42 metropolitan and 46 country, while the Country Party is contesting twenty-two exclusively rural seats. The Communists are putting forward 52 candidates, whereof five are women. The Australian Party nominees and Independents comprise the balance of the aspirants.
