The effect of the law, which lias given women equality in the cause for divorce, was revealed by the new law term list. Out of 780 petitions women’s applications excel the men’s by two to one. The average total throughout England is between four and five thousand annually. Outstanding facts in the statistics are that the large majority of divorces follow after ten years. More than half the cases are childless.
