A RECORD SUCCESS In response to invitations from the Ball Committee of the Greymouth Post and Telegraph Department, a large number attended last evening a the Town Hall, a successful dance being the result. Orange and black streamers decorated the hall, a large bell in the centre from which during a novelty dance, were showered confetti and balloons in every colour. Vases of beautiful tulips decorated the supper tables which boasted a suppei well above the ordinary. Music for modern and old-time dances was supplied by Williams’ orchestra. The prizes for the Lucky Onestep were won by Miss Burley (suede shopping bag) and Mr. J. Auton (clock) and for the Lucky Waltz by Miss J. Hignett (cut glass perfume bottle) and Mr. Blanchfield (pocket wallet). The Ball Committee members were. Mr. Coyle (chairman), Misses O’Brien, costello, Murtagh, Messrs Dav ? s ' on, Burley, Jamieson, Sparks, Seebeck, Coburn and Sheard with Miss I. Braidwood and Mr. h. Seebeck, as joint secretaries. Mrs. K. S. Wheeler was the official chaperon. Mr. B. Petrie was M.C. Among those present, were: — Mesdames D.
