[PER PRESS ASSOCIATION.] PLUNKET BEQUEST. DUNEDIN, August 22. The Trustees, Executors, and Agency Coy.. Ltd., the trustees in the, estate of the late Robert Hay, have forwarded a cheque for £2,000 to the Dunedin branch of the Plunket Society, which sum was bequeathed under the will of the late Mr Hay to the endowment fund of the Karitane Harris Hospital, in memory of his daughter. Amy Hay, who died on June’ IS, 1919. VALUELESS CHEQUES. GISBORNE, August 23. Pleading guilty to two charges of obtaining sums totalling £l5 10/- by means of valueless cheques, Maxwell Sullivan, 23, was admitted to probation for two years, and ordered to make restitution, by Mr Harper, S.M. this morning, suppression of the name was refused, in view of the tact that accused had a previous conviction. Accused, who is a lorry driver, out of employment, cashed cheques with hotelkeepers in the town. LICENSED VICTUALLERS. PALMERSTON NORTH, August 22. At the annual conference of the Licensed Victuallers’ Association today/the question of a Dominion retail price list was discussed. It was decided to suspend any definite recommendations to branches until the negotiations in progress are' finalised. The election of officers resulted: — President, J.
