WRESTLING
alley v. McDougall. [pee I’EESS ASSOCIATION.] WELLINGTON. August 12. • Hurled seven times to the mat by “Scotty” MacDougall (14.2), the light heavyweight champion, Tom Alley .(13.1) brought the eighth and last round to a conclusion under surprising • circumstances in a professional wrestling match held at the Town Hall this evening. MacDougall heaved Alley through the air several times in quick succes’sion taking his job more casually each time, until finally, at the eighth attempt, Aliey, who should have been unaware by this time of what was going on around him, took a flashing advantage of a careless hold and dropped MacDougall on to his buck, falling on top of him and pinning him easily. Alley thus equalised with a fall that MacDougall had gained in tho fifth, and so turned the match, into a, draw. The bout was followed by a packed house.
