It is believed that the resignation of the Rumanian Cabinet is imminent owing to differences between King Carol and Premier Manin over the coronation, which King Carol wants to hold on September 21, while Premier Manin contends that it must be preceded by the annulment of Queen Helen’s divorce. BRITISH DEFENCES. LONDON, August 10. To remedy deficiencies under the London Pact, the Navy Staff has presented a programme including four cruisers of 8600 tons each, armed with six-inch guns, one aeroplane carrier of 12,000 tons, aod also an aditional fifteen aviation corps. The expenditure involved will be £50,000,000.
