SHIPPING NOTES. The Kaponga sailed this morning for Wellington with a cargo of coal. The Kiwitea leaves for Auckland tomorrow with a cargo of coal. The Kaimai arrived last night from Gisborne. ' She "will load coal and timber for Miramar and Wellington, and is expected to sail at noon to-morrow. The Alexander arrived last night from Wellington, via Westport, with general cargo. After discharge she loads coal and timber for Nelson. The Regulus is due to-night from Lyttelton, via Nelson and Westport, with general cargo. After discharge she loads coal for Nelson and Wanganui. ’ The Titoki leaves Wellington today for Nelson, Westport and Greymouth, with general cargo. After discharge she loads coal for Nelson and Wanganui. 1 The Orepuki is due from Wellington about Saturday to load timber for Petone.
LIGHTHOUSE STEAMER.
WELLINGTON, August 11.
The Government lighthouse steamer “Ma’tai,” successfully underwent her trials. She leaves Home next Friday, and is due the first week in October. Captain Manning is in command for the voyage.
