KING TO VISIT GLAMIS

LONDON, August 11

The “News-Chronicle” correspondent states that the King and Queen intend to visit Glamis Castle towards the end of the month to see the Duchess of York. The Prince of Wales and the Duke of Gloucester are also expected. Their Majesties arc going to Balmoral Castle on August 23, and probably will motor across fifty miles of beautiful Highland country to Glamis Castle. It will be the King’s first visit, and t'-'.c first, occasion that a monarch has stayed at Glamis since Iho castle ceased to be a royal hunting box in mediaeval days.
