R.EEFTON, July 2C. A heavy shock of earthquake occurred here last evening about. 8.45 p.m. the disturbance was proceeded by a •loud roaring noise, and came from a south-easterly direction, another light shock occurred at 9.55 p.m. A man named Anthony Shannon . with several aliases was brought be- ' fore the Magistrate’s Court yesterday, and charged with being a rogue and a vagabond. He was sentenced to two months’ imprisonment. Accused was said to have been drinking methyf lated spirits and w.as in a bad' way.
