HOKITIKA BOROUGH COUNCIL [our own correspondent.] HOKITIKA, July 26. The Hokitika Borough Council met last evening. Present: The Mayor (Mr. G. A. Perry), Crs. D. W. Duff, A. K. Elcock, E. W. Heenan, A. C. Armstrong, Jas. King, E. Teichelmann, D. J. Evans. , The New Zealand Refrigerating Co., Christchurch, advised that the follow-, ing quantities of meat were delivered’ into Hokitika during the month of June, 1930, viz., 63 sheep, 8 lambs..

G. Coles, Brittan Street, applied for gravel on footpath at his frontage in lower Brittan Street. —To be attended to. f It was resolved to commence the construction of Rollestow Street drain at once, the work to be done by returned soldiers out of Poppy Day money and the subsidies, the work to be carried out as far as funds permit. The Borough Treasurer reported receipts £276/10/11; payments, £155/ I*6/7; dr. balance £926/19/8. 1 Accounts amounting to £645/19/4 were passed for payment.
