DONINGTON HALL

CAMP AS SHOW PLACE.

DERBY, June 7,

Donington Hall, Derbyshire, which was used as a prisoners of war camp for German officers during the war, is being thrown open to the public as a show place. The tunnel made by two German officers who escaped from the Hall, has been cleared out again and the exit, some distance from the mansion in the grounds, is railed off for people to see. The tunnel can still be negotiated by people of moderate proportions, provided they are prepared to wriggle at certain points.
