WELLINGTON, July 25

According to a statement, issued to the Press, a. m’eeting of the Wellington section of the P. and T. Association carried a motion: “That, the opinion of the Wellington, section of the Association is that a. controlling officers’ guild is unnecessary.” Some 150 members arc stated to have been present, including fifty controlling officers. An amendment that the forming of a guild was a matter for determination by those eligible for membership was defeated, and the motion was carried by a largo majority.
