WELLINGTON, July 11
There was a decrease of 4G over the previous week in the number of unemployed registered in New Zealand for the week ending July 7. according to a statement by the Minister of Labour to-day. The week’s total was 5445. The details of the registrations at the Labour Bureaux and Post Offices are as follow: —
Auckland:— With dependents, 806; without dependents, 655.
Wellington:— With dependants, 363; without 281.
Christchurch With dependents, 523; without, 367.
Dunedin: —.With dependents,. 222; without 112.
Invercargill:—With dependents, 68; without 77?
The totals for the five centres (with figures for the previous week in parentheses) are:—Auckland 1471 (1517). Wellington 644 (686). Christchurch 890 (686). Dunedin 364 (308). Invercargill 145 (140).

LONDON. July 10
In the House of Commons, Miss Margaret Bondfield (Minister of Labour) in answer to a question, said that the highest point of unemployment was that in June, 1921, when there were 2,580,429 out of work.
