N.Z. CO UNCtL ELECTION. [per press association.] DUNEDIN, Juno 17. Following is the result of the ballot for Councillors to the Dominion of New Zealand Bowling Association: North Island (17 nominations)—-A. N. Pilkington (Hamilton), J. M. Thomson (Auckland), J. W. Hardley (Auckland), J. K. Smart (New Plymouth), G. Gordon (Wanganui), and J. Kershaw (Wellington). South Island (11 nominations).—J. H Loudon (Invercargill), J. Moyes (Timaru). F. J. Good (Christchurch), A. J. Sullivan (Dunedin).
The full Council will now comprise the above twelve members and. Messrs J Pascoe (Auckland President).. 11. B. Oakcy (Christchurch, vice-presutent). C. J. Payne (Dunedin, past president), A H Yeoman (Auckland, troasuici), and G. Gladding (Auckland secretary) Auckland will be the headquarters of the Council for tho coming season. DUNEDIN PLAYER’S DEATH. DUNEDIN, June 17. John Pietersen, 68 years ot age. was found dead at his residence this morning. An inquest will not be necessary. Deceased was a prominent, member ot the Dunedin Bowling Club, and vxas a member of the New Zealand Bowling team which toured Great Britain m 1928.
