SATURDAY’S RUGBY MATCH
BRITISH TEAM CHOSEN SOBEY'S OPERATION [SPECIAL TO “STAR.”] DUNEDIN, June 17. The British team is unchanged for the tost. It will be the same as on last Saturday, with A. Aarvold as captain. This was determined to-night after a protracted meeting of the selection committee.
Meanwhile, the team as chosen, lias been strictly training, its programme including general tactical operations, preceded by an early morning walk. Additionally Prentice and Aarvold will to-morrow go to Oamaru to see the All Blacks play North Otago. After the test match, the party will again divide, some remaining in Dunedin, while the team for South land match, with emergencies, will proceed to Invercargill. Sobey to-day underwent a minor operation to his knee which was manipulated under an anaesthetic. But for Sobey, the practice turnouts this week have been fully representative for the first time since the early stages of the tour. The team is enjoying its restful stay in Dunedin and particularly the opportunity of playing golf daily. Mr Hollander (Chi’istchurch) will definitely referee the test, it being explained that while the New Zealand Appointments Board determines the referees for provincial games, the British team may nominate its own choice to the tests. LATER— Prentice and Aarvold are not going to Oamaru. Poole is resting with a recurrence of the hip injury suffered at Greymouth.
Sobey is to have massage twice daily in the hope of restoring his knee. Those who do not go to Invercargill will visit Mount Cook. Another party will go there from Timaru.
Britain’s Saturday’s team against Otago was: — Full-back: Basset. Three-quarters: Morley, Aarvold, Bowcott, Reeve. Halves: Spong, Murray. Forwards: Rew, Parker, O’Neill, Black, Farrell, Ivor Jones, Beamish, Hodgson.

There are no official engagements to-night, but after the trial match tomorrow, the team are to be entertained at dinner and later at. a dance. Tho weather prospects are excellent, and a record attendance at the trial match is expected.
