A HUSBAND’S COMPLAINT
Humorous as well as tragic things happen in this notorious home of gangsters. Now the ghosts have decided to have a hand in affairs, according to Robert Davies, who lives in Chicago.
Davies and his estranged wife live under the same roof, and when he returns to his home he usually finds her conducting a spiritualist seance. When Mr Davies appeared before Judge Lewis on a question of alimony ho said: —“There are a number of stuffed ghosts that run around on various things such as wires and pulleys and are usually meant to attack me. Of course, my wife has a pet control and her object is to slander me.
“Not satisfied with that, she actually materialised one night and caught'me a real wallop— knocking mo out. When I awoke I was holding a wreath.” Even the ghosts cannot get away from tho atmosphere of the gangsters,
