The President of the American Federation of Labour, Mr Green, testifying before the United States House Committee enquiring into the operations of the Communists, declared that the Communist Party, with ‘the Soviet as its bulwark,” had set out to control and overthrow the American Federation of Labour in a general scheme for destroying government in the United States.
